Building the Future: Providing High School Students With Hands-on Experience

kaitlyn564

Habitat is excited to team up with Vista Grande High School through their MC3 program to provide students with hands-on construction experience while giving back to the community. The MC3 program (Multi-Craft Core Curriculum) is a pre-apprenticeship program that prepares students for careers in the building trades by offering technical training and industry-recognized certifications.

As part of the partnership, students from Vista Grande High School visit the Habitat job site once a week to help work on a home for a family in need. Through this initiative, students not only gain valuable skills but also contribute to the community by assisting in learning to construct affordable housing. This collaboration exemplifies how local partnerships can create educational opportunities while addressing pressing housing needs. We're excited to watch this partnership grow!
