Habitat’s unique program is being touted as “VolunTourism,” an opportunity for organizations to volunteer, while they have an organizational retreat in one of the most beautiful areas in the country.

It is often typical that team building or corporate retreats are missing valuable contribution. Why not merge the two worlds and give organizations an incredible experience and one that they’ll walk away from knowing they really made a difference – not only for their organizations but for a family – forever.  

Habitat for Humanity of Taos fills an important need in the Taos community, were 90 percent of the population cannot afford to purchase a home. Taos’ average home price is $325,000. Most of the home building is done by volunteers. Paid professionals to oversee work include licensed plumbers, electricians and construction supervisors.  To date, Habitat for Humanity of Taos has built 27 homes with 80 family members served.
