Habitat for Humanity of Taos ReStore
DID YOU KNOW: The Taos Habitat ReStore is our #1 funding source. Thank you for your donations and purchases. And in celebration of our 25th, every month on the 25th (unless the 25th falls on Sun. or Mon., when they're closed-then it'll fall on the Sat before or Tues after), everything in the store is 25% off.
The ReStore is a materials recycling center and home improvement store that sells new and used materials to the public at below-retail prices; we have a wide assortment of goods - everything but clothing! Proceeds help pay for HFHT’s home building program. By accepting these materials we’re helping Taos County go green by keeping items out of the land fill.
Donations & Merchandise Include:
• Bricks, tile & flooring materials
• Doors & windows
• Electrical supplies & lighting
• Plumbing supplies (non-lead)
• Working appliances (large and small)
• Furniture & office furniture
• Tools & hardware
• Lumber, building supplies & materials
• Cabinets, counter tops & shelving
• Sinks, toilets & fixtures
• Housewares, books, electronics, & art
• Toys, sporting goods, and much more
Donation Guidelines: Appliances must be clean and in working order. They are accepted subject to prior inspection. Bring to store during normal business hours or call for pick up information.
Our mission is to RECYCLE donations from individuals and businesses, RESELL them to the public at a reduced cost, and REINVEST the profits into Habitat for Humanity of Taos to help REBUILD lives through building homes. Homeowners benefit from the profits because more proceeds enable us to build more Habitat Homes!!! Donors get a tax deduction on their gifts, buyers can purchase affordable merchandise without paying sales tax. It’s a 3-way-win situation.
